Gerry Rooderkerk - Lead vocals
Gerry Rooderkerk’s versatility has seen her perform in many different line-ups & situations in her 15 years in Auckland; from covers stalwarts ‘The Scanners’, ‘Early Warning’ and ‘Kick’, she also formed ‘Star Cross’d’, an acoustic duo that still gigs regularly 10 years on, her own reggae outfit ‘The Copicats’ and her own originals project, ‘Peepshow’.
Dixon Nacey - Lead guitar
Dixon Nacey is a guitarist based in Auckland New Zealand, whose 16 year music career has seen him perform with New Zealand’s top jazz & pop musicians as sideman and band leader. His guitar can be heard on a variety of albums & he also teaches jazz privately and at Auckland University and hosts guitar clinics throughout the country. Nowadays he spends his time working on an original jazz-funk collaboration with Iri Aumatangi called ‘I.D.’, performing regularly with Tama Waipara, Nathan Haines, King Kapisi, The Alan Brown Trio and Latin vocalist Diva Jennifer Zea & leading his own small groups at festivals up and down N.Z. His jazz group with Ron Samsom on drums and Kevin Haines bass “The Samsom Nacey Haines Trio” has just released it’s debut album ‘Open to suggestions’ and will be performing concerts at the upcoming AK09 festival and the Christchurch Jazz Festival. Dixon is privileged to have also worked with the following reputable artists; Annie Crummer, Blue Train, Whirimako Black, Mal McCallum, Chris Mason Battley Group, Grand Central Band, Jazz Schmazz, Miguel Fuentes, Feijoa Jam, Caitlin Smith, Jordan Luck, Leza Corban, Graham Brazier, Chris Melville, Tim Hopkins, Max Stowers, Rebekah Peterson, Trudy Lile, Truda Chadwick, Carolina Moon
Antony Pickard - Guitar & vocal
Antony studied music from the age of five on piano, then moved onto guitar and bass and took up singing with his first rock band at fifteen. 1988 saw him win both the Wellington Choral Festival Award and the first ever ‘N.Z. Rock Quest’. He then began stints with his own Christchurch / Wellington based covers groups and the stellar band ‘Slam’. In 2000 he began touring rigorously through the South East Asian ‘Grand Hyatt’ hotel chain with ‘Ultra’ until in 2005 he moved to Auckland to join ‘Kick’ and began a hectic schedule of studio and gig sessions with the likes of; MacDonald’s, All-blacks, Steinlager, Dominion Breweries, the Hurricanes, Les Mills and Mitsubishi.
Butch Villagracia - Bass & vocal
Butch’s long spanning music career began in his home land the Philippines with his band ‘Hocus Pocus’ and the international folk/rock star ‘Freddy Aguilar Anak’. After relocating to Singapore he joined the ‘Exide Band’ playing the Asian Hard Rock Cafe & hotel circuits for many years. In 1990 the ‘Exide Band’ moved to N.Z. where Butch has spent the last 10 years working with Auckland based bands ‘Constellation’, ‘Planet’ and ’Kick’.
